| Many people have things that they hide behind in life. They use things as walls or barriers to keep people out. These things can cause problems with relationships. How can you have an intimate relationship with someone if they won't ever let you into their heart? For some people, it is a trust that has to be earned before the wall will come down. I have dealt with a wall in my life as well. Over the past 5 ½ months on the World Race, the Lord has been teaching, molding, and guiding me towards the man He has intended me to be. The opposite of sarcasm is servant hood. To lower the wall of making jokes and just opening it all up. You know, serving your brothers and sisters. For many years I have seen a few relationships hurt because of sarcasm. I use it for everything. If things get too serious, I will try to change the mood of the room with sarcasm. I have always been afraid to just open up and let people past my wall. I had been praying for God to take me to the next step for some time. He told me, "You want to go to the next step huh?" I said, "Yes I do." "Well" God said, "Then you have some crap to deal with first, and then we will see about the rest." Until I was ready to deal with it, I wasn't going anywhere. So, the other day during a one on one session with G Black, he was able to dig deep and pull this out of me. The Lord has now just nixed sarcasm from my life. Not that I won't ever use it again, just not as a wall covering who I really am. Another issue I have prayed for the Lord to deal with is my pride. I have a hard time humbling myself sometimes and apologizing when I have done someone wrong. So the Lord has allowed me to go through some situations where I have had to swallow my pride and humble myself before people. I knew that coming on the World Race was going to change my life, but what I have learned in just the first half of the year has wrecked my life for Jesus. For those of you who don't get that, that's a good thing. He is making me the man He wants me to be as well as the man of God that I desire to be. I will never make a good father or husband if I don't lay down at the feet of Jesus and ask Him to show me what it means to be a son of God first. Lord, thank you for bringing me to a place in my life, where I am ready to be stripped to the core. Thank you for never giving up on me. For always having patience and giving me that 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th chance to get things right. I am here to bring glory to your name Lord God Almighty! As Iron sharpens Iron Josh-ua | | |

Here is an old post from my world race site. This happened to me back in Palenque, Mexico last month. On Wednesday evening, I was standing in the back during worship time. I
closed my eyes and started to pray. I asked Him to come into my body and show
and tell me what I am supposed to be doing here in this village.
As I opened my eyes, I saw all of the children being held. They had been
restless all day. It was then when I received a word from the Lord. He said: The one thing we are here for is to love on one another. If we do nothing
else, He will be pleased. These people will see Gods love when they see us love
on the unlovely.
The United States is such a fast paced place. We have to light our selves on
fire just to get their attention. Out here, God can be shown just by showing
someone you love them.
After God spoke that word to me, I opened my Bible and He took me straight to
a verse i had never read.
Galations 5:13 For you were called to freedom, only do not turn
your freedom into an opportunity for the flesh, but through love- serve one
another.
We are not on this World Race for a vacation. We are put in each city for one
thing- to love the unlovely. God told me if we do that one thing all year, He
will be pleased. The world is a much better place when you begin to see it through Gods eyes. Continue to pray for me as I travel the world spreading His good news!! As Iron sharpens Iron Josh-ua

| A couple months ago, I had gased up my car and grabbed a couple cheeseburgers from Burger king and hit the rode around 11:45 thursday morning. I drove over to Atlanta to hop on 75 north. Once i got on, about 3 miles up the road i saw an old man with his thumb out. I felt lilke the Lord punched me in my stomach, so i quickly yanked the wheel from the fast lane over to the side of the highway. This old guy was running as fast as he could to the van, "Karen." I just knew for some reason, God wanted me to pick this guy up. So as soon as he opened the door, i said "whats going on partner?" I shook his hand and we exchanged names. I could tell that he was very intimidated or scarred of me. He wouldnt look me in the eye nor say anything unless I asked him. I guess when you hop in a strangers car, who just so happens to have a MoHawk, it can be scarry. This guy had nothing. No bag, no money..you get the picture. He was about 43 and had a full beard. Covered in dirt. I just wanted to hug him! So..... back to the story.... I asked him, "Do you go to church?" He said "Sometimes." I just wanted him to know I was a believer and there is nothing to be scarred about. So I asked him," Whats your story?" He proceeded to say,"I am just coming from Florida and headed to New York to visit some friends." I told him I was only headed to Cincinnati and He said thats fine. I could tell he was still nervous. Anytime i looked his way, just to use my mirror, he would look straight down in his lap. He wouldnt make eye contact. So 400 miles goes by and he hasnt said a thing. But, I had been dousing him with christian music the entire time! So I let the Lord minister to him through music. I watched him out of the corner of my eye......every once in a while he would start tapping his finger to the music. I couldnt wait to get to the exit of which i ws taking him. I was going to buy him an amazing sit down dinner. He was gonna feast on what ever he wanted! When we got to the exit he had requested, i was sitting at the red light on the off ramp. He opened the door, and for the first time looked me dead in the eye and said, "Thank you so much Josh." Turned and shut the door. I was in awe. I knew the Lord had planted some kind of seed in him. I was sad cause I wanted to feed him. Maybe in a way, the Lord used me to "feed" him in a different way. I love my Jesus! Lets all send a prayer up for my Hitch Hiker today! Just pray God blesses his socks off somehow! I love you all! "As Iron sharpens Iron" Josh-ua | | |
